We have all heard the term “Spring Cleaning”. This is the time of year when flowers are budding, birds are chirping, and warmer weather is rolling in. It’s a time when people purge their houses of dirt, dust, and debris…

Spring cleaning does not just apply to houses anymore. Businesses can also take advantage of this wonderful time of year to get organized and make improvements by spring cleaning their business.

So, Spring is the time to get your business on track for success!

Here are five key areas to focus on to thoroughly spring clean your business.

1. Declutter spaces & deep clean – This will help you establish a clean slate for your business. Looks at every area of your business from the customer’s perspective to see what they see. Spring cleaning your workspaces can make everyone feel refreshed and organized.

2. Freshen up & consolidate your marketing strategies– Ensure your customers are getting the most updated materials that best position your brand and business. Spend some time sprucing up your marketing strategies. You can freshen things up by: Researching new marketing trends, Investing in social media, Automating tasks (e.g., email marketing), Revisiting your brand, Analysing last year’s data.

3. Review neglected areas – Where you have had limited resources in the past, is it time to reallocated resources or perhaps consider eliminating the area in your business that are not going to benefit you in the near future

4. Examine, reorganize, or consolidate your inventory – Ensure older or outdated inventory is handled correctly and that you have sufficiently forecasted inventory you will need in the future
