Consistency Backed By Action Creates Massive Success

July 21, 2022

Consistency backed by action is the key to success; without it, your dreams won't come true.

Action is the only way to achieve success. It doesn’t matter how many times you fail, as long as you keep trying and learning from each mistake. Consistency also matters a lot if you want to succeed at something. While it may not be possible for everyone to be consistent 100% of the time, consistency backed by action has shown that it leads to success more often than not.

Let me ask you a question: what do you believe you can do consistently?

If you're like most people, your answer is probably something along the lines of "I can't do anything consistently." But that's not true. You actually can do things consistently — it's just that maybe you don't know what those things are yet.

Maybe, for now, all you can do is phone one new prospect every day. Or post three posts on social media each week. Or write 100 words per day in your blog. That's fine! In fact, it's great! It's better than nothing at all, and it will get you started on the path to building consistency in your life.

You see, when we say "consistency" we often think of it as doing something big—like calling 20 prospects a day or posting six times per week on social media. But when it comes down to it, consistency is simply doing small things constantly over a long period of time. And once those small things become habits and start adding up over time… well… then they become huge!

If you're unmotivated and don't know where to start, here are some ways to be more consistent in life:

  • Start by simply Tracking your habits
“Habit tracking provides visual proof of your hard work—a subtle reminder of how far you’ve come. Plus, the empty square you see each morning can motivate you to get started because you don’t want to lose your progress by breaking your streak.”
     -James Clear

If you want to form a new habit or break an old one, tracking your progress is the key. The best way to do this is by using a simple piece of paper.

  • Make use of technology to help you
There are many technologies available today that make it easy for you to be consistent. Reminders are one way to stay on track. You can set reminders for tasks, goals or habits.

  • Eliminate self-doubt
The first step to eliminating self-doubt is to acknowledge it.

When you tell yourself that you can't do something, you'll have a hard time-but when you know you can do it, half of the hard work is already done.

It’s easy to get caught up in negative self-talk, especially if we’re not even aware of what we’re saying. But by paying attention and identifying these thoughts, we can replace them with more positive ones.

  • Don't get overwhelmed by your goals
It’s easy to get overwhelmed if you’re trying to accomplish a lot of different things at once. But if you take it step-by-step and focus on one task at a time, you can accomplish everything on your list.

You might be thinking, “I can’t do everything!” or “There’s no way I can fit all those things into my schedule!” But remember: You don’t have to do everything right now. You can take things one at a time and make progress as fast as possible.

If you want to run a marathon but haven’t been physically active lately, don’t try to start training for the race today – instead, go out for a walk or jog around your neighbourhood. Small successes like this will help build your confidence and motivate you to keep going.

If you want to succeed, follow this formula. It has been applied by successful people and it has worked wonders. If you have a passion and a dream, go ahead and start working towards that dream today. Keep trying; always work to improve yourself, and keep exploring different avenues which will help you achieve your goals.

Consistency backed by action is the key to success; without it, your dreams won't come true.
